Chhote tools, roz ke kaam
Developer ka din chhoti-chhoti jagah-ghadon se bhara hai: API ne minified JSON bheja, config me Base64 string mili, download ka checksum verify karna hai, ya test ke liye strong password chahiye. Ye chaaron kaam browser me ho sakte hain — bina kisi tool install kiye, bina data upload kiye. Chalo ek-ek karke.
JSON Formatter — pehle validate, phir socho
JSON Formatter teen kaam karta hai: validate (syntax galat hai to exact character position batata hai), beautify (indentation ke saath readable), aur minify (whitespace hata ke payload chhota). Common errors yaad rakho: trailing comma, single quotes, unquoted keys, string ke andar unescaped newline, aur comments — JSON me comments hote hi nahi. Kabhi minify, kabhi beautify? Rule simple hai: jo transmit/store hoga wo minified (API response, config), jo insaan padhega wo beautified (debugging, code review). Production payloads ispe test karo safe — kuch bhi server pe nahi jata.
Base64 — encoding hai, encryption NAHI
Base64 Encoder/Decoder binary ko 64 printable characters me convert karta hai taaki text-only channels (JSON, XML, email, data URIs) me survive kare. Sabse bada confusion: log isse password "hide" karne ki koshish karte hain — decoding to sab kar sakte hain, "cGFzc3dvcmQ=" = "password". Ye transport compatibility hai, security nahi. Asli use-case: chhoti images ko data URI bana ke HTML/CSS me inline karna (data:image/png;base64,...) — HTTP request bachti hai, par 10KB se badi images inline mat karo (caching mar jaati hai). Size ~33% badh jaati hai — 3 bytes se 4 characters bante hain.
MD5 — checksum ke liye haan, password ke liye kabhi nahi
MD5 Generator input ka 128-bit fingerprint deta hai — 32 hex characters. Same input = same hash; ek bit badla = poora hash badla; hash se input wapas nikalna practical nahi. Legitimate use: file integrity (publisher ka checksum apne hash se compare karo — match = file intact), duplicate detection, legacy systems. Password storage ke liye MD5 2004 se dead hai — rainbow tables me billions hashes ready baithe hain. Passwords ke liye bcrypt/argon2 (slow + salted). Security-sensitive kuch bhi ho to SHA-256 minimum.
Password Generator — length pehle, cleverness baad me
Password Generator browser ke cryptographic random se passwords banata hai — koi pattern nahi, koi dictionary word nahi. Math dekho: 12-character random mix (upper+lower+digits+symbols) ke ~4,000 trillion trillion combinations — modern GPU cracking ke liye decades. 8-character "clever" password? Ghante me toot jata hai. Best combo: 12-16 chars random + har site pe alag + password manager. NIST ka modern rule: password tabhi badlo jab compromise ki khabar ho — quarterly forced rotation sirf logon ko weak passwords pe le aata hai. Aur 2FA jahan bhi mile, turant on karo.
In chaaron ka daily flow
API debugging → JSON Formatter se validate+beautify. Frontend optimization → Base64 se chhoti icons inline. Download verify → MD5 Generator se checksum match. Naya account → Password Generator se 16-char password, seedha manager me save. Chaaron 100% client-side hain — office laptop pe bhi safely chal sakte hain.
